INSPRING INNOVATION IN STUDENT RESEARCH WORKSHOP

Participants will receive: $65 Stipend, Morning coffee, snacks and lunch, All materials and program book. 0.5 CEU for completion of the workshop.

SCIENCE SAFETY TRAIN-THE-TRAINER WORKSHOP
August 12-13, 2015, 9 am - 3 pm @ The Science House
This training session focuses on the training required as part of a comprehensive safety program as defined by the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard and the Chemical Hygiene Plan as defined by the OSHA Lab Standard. Participants will also receive training in the following topics: chemical storage, safety equipment and personal protective equipment, Safety Data Sheets, signs, labels and other forms of warning, emergency procedures, spill control and waste disposal.

Pamlico, Newport, and Morehead Middle Schools
Participants will interact with scientists, graduate students and be engaged in rigorous STEM research activities, competitions and real life projects that will require them to be active change agents to solve problems in their community.
